Ionised gas kinematics in MaNGA AGN

چکیده
We analyse the kinematics of 170 AGN host galaxies as compared to those a matched control sample non-active from MaNGA survey in order characterise and estimate extents Narrow Line Region (NLR) kinematically disturbed region (KDR) by AGN. define observed NLR radius farthest distance nucleus within which both [Oiii]/H\beta [Nii]/H\alpha ratios fall BPT diagram H\alpha equivalent width is required be larger than 3.0\AA. The extent KDR defined hosts shows more gas galaxies. derived [Oiii] line profiles reveal that, on average, most luminous (L[Oiii] > 3.8 * 10^40 erg s^-1) possess higher residual difference between gaseous stellar velocities dispersion their Spatially resolved NLR's KDR's were found 55 46 galaxies, with corrected radii 0.2 < r_KDR,c 2.3 kpc 0.4 r_NLR,c 10.1 kpc, relation two given log = (0.53\pm0.12) + (1.07\pm0.22), respectively. extension corresponds about 30 per cent that NLR. Assuming due an outflow, we have estimated ionised mass outflow rates range 10^-5 \approx 1 Myr^-1, kinetic powers 10^34 s^-1. Comparing power outflows luminosities, they are always below 0.05 L_AGN model threshold for having important feedback effect respective (and power) our correlate populating lowest luminosity correlations previously powerful sources.

Kinematics of Ionised Gas in the Barred Seyfert Galaxy NGC 4151
We have determined the structure and kinematics of ionised gas in the weak oval bar of the archetypal Seyfert 1 galaxy, NGC 4151, using the TAURUS Fabry-Perot interferometer to simultaneously map the distribution and kinematics of Hβ emission. We also present broad-band ultraviolet imaging of the host galaxy, obtained with XMM-Newton, that shows the detailed distribution of star formation in th...
متن کاملKinematics of AGN Jets
The fine-scale structure and the kinematics of relativistic active galactic nuclei (AGN) jets have been studied by very-long-baseline interferometry at very high resolutions since 1998 at 2 cm wavelength for a sample of over a hundred radio sources (VLBA 2cm Survey and MOJAVE programs). Since 2007, this is being complemented by the TANAMI project, based on southern observations with the Austral...
متن کاملKinematics of AGN and Quasar Jets
The major multi-epoch VLBA programs are described and discussed in terms of relativistic beaming models. Broadly speaking the observed kinematics are consistent with models having a parent population which is only mildly relativistic but with Lorentz factors extending up to about 30. While the collimation and acceleration appears to mainly occur close to the central engine, there is evidence of...
متن کاملMolecular Gas and Agn Fueling
CO emission, tracing the molecular content and distribution in galaxies, is a privileged tool to trace gas towards the nucleus, since the HI tracer is in general depleted there. A review is done of recent CO line observations, with sufficient spatial resolution to indicate the morphology and kinematics of the gas near the nucleus. The puzzling result that nuclei presently observed in an active ...
متن کاملThe Central Kiloparsec of Seyfert and Inactive Host Galaxies: a Comparison of Two-Dimensional Stellar and Gaseous Kinematics
We investigate the properties of the two-dimensional distribution and kinematics of ionised gas and stars in the central kiloparsecs of a matched sample of nearby active (Seyfert) and inactive galaxies, using the SAURON Integral Field Unit on the William Herschel Telescope. The ionised gas distributions show a range of low excitation regions such as star formation rings in Seyferts and inactive...
